We developed a meaningful gift for the valued business relations of the Schieland and Krimpenerwaard Water Board: a tie or men's scarf for the gentlemen, and a silk scarf for the ladies. Rooymans took care of the design, development, and production.
The dike reeve's office as inspiration
The silk scarf for women is based on a ceiling painting in the dike reeve's office. The artwork, probably by the 18th-century painter Elias van Nimwegen, depicts the myth of Pandora's box. This colorful painting has been reproduced one-to-one on silk habutaï, with attention to detail and brushstrokes. The result: a characterful scarf full of story.
Water as a logo
For the men's scarves and ties, we used the logo of the water board, an abstract representation of the waterways. This pattern is subtly woven into both items. The tie has an extra ribbed texture for a rich look.
A gift to unwrap
The packaging completes the look. The tie comes in a square box with a lid covered in the same fabric. The scarves are packaged in a laminated box, finished with a satin ribbon and a logo on the inside. A gift with attention to detail, inside and out.
